Bonaparte stopped with their Into The Wild tour at the Arena in Vienna. I had the great opportunity to meet with the whole Bonaparte clan in the afternoon to do a portrait shooting and cover their whole show afterwards.
As a music photographer you should always aim to get the direct contact to bands. It´s not only great fun to meet the artists in person but most likely they will allow you to shoot the complete concert. For a Bonaparte concert shooting the complete show is a must! The first 2 songs are rather dark on stage and they have mirrors which block the view of the musicians. I talked to their light technician and he told me that it has nothing to do to give concert photographers a hard time during the first 3 songs. It´s more to build tension and not showing everything from the beginning on. After the third song “Anti Anti” the show started to get crazy with an energetic on stage action and wild dance performances. For me as a concert photographer it was great to be able to do my work without restrictions and at this concert I experienced why I love this job so much again. Here are the photos.
